Meagan Kelly

Meagan Kelly is the Founder and President of The Gift of Grace Foundation. Her award-winning documentary ‘Grace’ is the inspiration behind her efforts to change the lives of children in the Philippines. As a filmmaker and television journalist, Meagan’s mission is to cultivate compassion through visual storytelling. She has a journalism degree from Carleton University, and has worked as a reporter for CBC and CityTV Edmonton. Meagan also has a passion for travel, having ventured to Rwanda, Thailand, Hong Kong, and a dozen other countries. Still, the Philippines remains closest to her heart because of a 13-year-old girl who lives on a garbage dump in Cebu. Meagan strongly believes in the power of one person, and that philosophy will always be at the centre of The Gift of Grace Foundation. She incorporated the Foundation in June 2011.

Gauri Chopra

Journalist to entrepreneur in a whirlwind, Gauri Harrison currently owns and manages Paramount Recreation Inc, Western Canada’s Luxury Spa and Far Infrared Sauna dealer. As former Communications Coordinator of Svpecial Olympics Alberta she is well versed in the non-profit sector and has a passion for making change. Gauri is delighted to be working with ‘Gift of Grace’ and is excited to play a part in helping children like Mary Grace “live in a place very far away from all the garbage”.

JPIC -IDC

The Gift of Grace Foundation works in partnership with JPIC-IDC, a certified non-profit organization in the Philippines. JPIC-IDC runs a scholarship program for children on the five major garbage dumps in the province of Cebu.  JPIC-IDC has worked in the region for more than a decade, helping improve the lives of the poor and marginalized in the Philippines.

The Dekeyser & Friends Foundation runs educational programs for young adults aged 18 to 28 from around the world with the goal to pass on knowledge and benefit from the experience of their mentors. At the same time every program invites Fellows to think about their dreams in life and how they can impact the world they live in. Out of commitment to these goals the Dekeyser & Friends Foundation supports selected Fellows in making their dreams a reality. The Dekeyser & Friends Foundation is also the producer of Grace, a documentary film that inspired Meagan Kelly to create The Gift of Grace Foundation.
